Lake Okaboji:
Our discover Iowa adventure was off to a great start with the State Fair. The following weekend we visited lake Okaboji, which is about three hours north of Waterloo. It was a beautiful weekend and we enjoyed the time on the water and with my parents.
The Newest Addition:
Friday morning of Labor Day weekend (September 4th) we got THE CALL, that Stephanie, my sister-in-law was checked into the hospital and ready to give birth to our new nephew. So as the amazing Aunt and Uncle that we are, we dropped what we were doing, jumped in the car, picked up my parents and proceeded to drive to the hospital. Did I mention that it was a 14 hour drive to the hospital, I am definately this baby's favorite Aunt!
We finally arrived at the hospital Saturday morning, 12 hours after the little guy was born. And boy were my parents excited to meet their first grandchild!
As the momentum built we were ushered into the room, and introduced for the first time to SAMUEL RYAN WANNEMACHER, weighing in at 6lbs 12oz, 19 1/2 inches long, he is definately one of the cutiest babies I have ever seen!
