Over the last few weeks
we Johan and my dad have been working on remodeling the basement or our 'mother-in-law suite'. We feel that this is a fitting name for the basement in that both our parents have been a huge blessing in the remodeling process. We are so thankful for them and the unique ways that they are able to help us!
We definitely have a 1950's style feel to the space that is inspired by the original 1950's refrigerator that some friends gave us. We are planning on renting the space out to a newly married couple in March - but this has not held us back from putting our own personal style in the space. Our favorite in the space so far: The kitchen area equipped with checkered floors, red counter-tops and turquoise painted cabinet.
